Dr. Sheila Hanlon completed her PhD in British History at York University, Toronto in 2009.
She held the 2010-12 Vera Douie Research Fellowship at London Metropolitan University.
Sheila is based in Toronto and London. She is currently continuing her research on the social and political history of women’s cycling. She regularly lectures on this topic and contributes to print and online publications. She has appeared as an historical expert on BBC Radio and TV and also consults behind the scenes as a historian for media.
